Heated Front Screen Not Working

Hi, I've just bought a 2004 Mondeo and the HFS doesn't seem to be working at all. The revs drop when you switch it on, the fuses are fine and there are no chips in the screen.

As the revs drop, I'm assuming that the power is reaching the screen? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

You need to have a new screen fitted.

Hi, can you elaborate on your reply? Why would the screen need replacing, are there no alternatives?

If it has power to the screen and the fuses etc are all ok then it's the screen that's failed.

Sometimes they fail where the plug clips on the screen connector but I do not know of a cheap fix.

I have had two screens fail on 2 cars and both times it was a new screen job luckily under warranty but neither dealer could offer a cheap fix.
