Replacing 2011 S-Max Audio/Nav

Bit of an odd one here I'm sure.
Bought the other half a 2.0D 160 Titanium and added various bells and whistles to make her life easier.
One thing I did add was the rear parking camera which in turn required the addition of the Nav system.
Both turned out to be somewhat...Crap!
The reverse camera is poor but useable.
The Nav is absolutely appalling! Takes an absolute age to work out the route (5-10mins) 90% of the time the map consists of a blue line and nothing else.
Its got to the stage that we now use TomTom.

So getting back to the original question:
Does anyone know of an aftermarket solution to replace the OEM system? Taking into account that the OEM system incorporates half of the dash, including the heater controls?
Doesn’t have to be top of the range unit so happy to try unbranded stuff as long as it works, but I would like to have a half decent sat nav, ability to reconnect the reversing camera, Bluetooth & Steering wheel controls.

From the stunned silence I'll take that as a no then!
Having made further enquiries it appears that there isn't any recognised kit available as of yet, so looks like we'll be putting up with Fords offering for the time being.

If anyone does happen across something, please share the love.

Have you tried taking it back to the dealer as what you describe doesn't sound like my experience with the nav.

I had a similar thing with the Sat Nav on our 58 Kuga. There is a firmware update which fixed the slow loading problem plus a 2012 map DVD which improved the maps. I bought the map DVD from a dealer (I think it was £90) & I also asked for the firmware update (on a DVD/CD), which they sent me with instructions to return back to them. I'll try to find more info.

Thanks folks, must admit I haven't approached the dealer as I just assumed it was naff from day 1.
But good points, I'll pop over and have a chat with them, see what they say.

I have the same unit in my Focus 2009 & i find it an excellent nav to use (for a factory unit) mine will work out a route in less than 20 secs so as others have said, needs an update or a dealer to have a look as defo something is wrong!

• *UPDATE***

Just thought I'd let you know, I managed to get hold of a new 2013 Nav DVD from a company in Germany for a not too eye watering £80 (Ford wanted £300+VAT!)
Installed it and the system is now superb, routes in seconds rather than half hours, shows all of the roads as opposed to just the route you're following.
