Focus ST bluefin

Hi folks. Does anyone here have a Focus ST (mine's a pre-facelift 55 plate) that they've mapped with Bluefin Stage 2? If so what mods did you do first, if any? I know it's recommended that you replace the intercooler but do you really need to? Thanks in advance.

Not done Bluefin , but the intercooler is on its limits with warmer days, so definitely needs one sooner than later on a higher boosted engine.

I will be getting a replacement Airtec intercooler soon so I suppose I'd better wait until then, I'm just impatient I think. Do you know if anything else is recommended? On the Superchips site they say that the warranty isn't valid on stage 2 if you haven't also fitted a sports cat but on an ST forum I visited they have people running stage 2 on a standard car. It's very confusing!

My ST (07 pre-facelift) is remapped with the Dreamscience DSCi map & has an Airtec gen3 intercooler. I personally have felt no difference with the intercooler over a standard Ford one. Those are the only mods I have. Did have a sports cat but that made no noticeable difference so I have it for sale (with an upgraded downpipe).

Im running bluefin stage 2 with the following mods, full exhaust, CAIS, bigger intercooler, made around 290-300bhp

Going for stage 3 next month at Jamsport with RS injectors to around 320bhp

As much as you can go on standard turbo

I had mine remapped on Code:Red with just a sport cat and cat back for a few months and it was alright. Got CAIS and intercooler done at the same time when I could afford it.
