Hi all,
Just browsing around looking for a cheap and reliable car. I was looking at KA MK1 as I owned 2 in the past with no issues when I came across the Puma.
Looks much more interesting than the good old KA but, what is it like in terms of maintenance, servicing costs, engine etc? I know about the rust and know where to look for it.
What would be the real mpg figures on mainly long motorway journeys?
Many thanks

It's not great on motorway because of the wind noise and the gearing but plenty if power. Comes into its own on b roads. Rust is the real killer and the reason why most are scrapped.
It's a cheap moderately fast very nice handling coupe that's basically put together out of fiesta parts so parts are cheap and it's easy to work on. There's a reason why it's a PH favourite.
I find the mpg down to how you drive. Motorway won't net you much better than b roads because of gearing my you max out at about 35mpg for the 1.7. It feels like you're using a lot of fuel though as it's fuel tank is pretty small
