Time has come to sell my Mondeo ST TDCI, gutted it's going but I have my eye on a new car and have some spare cash. Been looking at previous adverts and prices seem to be all over the place so any help is appreciated. Here some info on it:

- Performance blue - 54 Reg
- 2 Previous owners
- 159k on the clock but running perfectly
- Interior is immaculate and all working perfect, half leather, electric/heated seats
- Exterior is good with just minor stone chips, no dents or scratches.
- Lacquer has came off the wheels a little bit, common problem. No kurbing etc.
- FULL service history with everything from Ford. Serviced on the dot and last service done at a very good local garage (Falcon Performance, Middlesbrough)
- Full new set of Mintex pads/discs couple of months a go
- 4 new tyres about 4 months a go
- 2 New rear hubs - common fault, now fixed
- New crankshaft pulley damper kit fitted this week, genuine part.
- EGR removed, HID kit

Think that's about it. Everything that its needed has been done immediately and only using genuine parts. Clutch/DMF fitted about 50k a go so another 50k left in it. I believe its had new Injectors of the previous owner (he was a mechanic), no proof but had them tested twice this year and no problems.

As said it' a really solid car and still runs faultlessly.
Sorry for the long message, could go on about it all day.

Price wise what do you think, I was thinking about £2000 minimum, possibly little more?

Thanks

I'd be very tempted to list it on eBay with no reserve and a low starting price and see what happens.

It's a diesel with sporting pretensions so will tick a lot of boxes for a lot of people, just write a decent ad and let it go.

£2k sounds about right for a private sale.

My advise is don't be greedy and if you get a sensible offer, take it.

I think Ebay is my best bet, good description and a load of good photos.

I really don't want to take less than £2000 for it, such a good car for the money. Hopefully pull in a little more!

I think when cars reach stellar mileages, you have to let them go for whatever they make. Many people won't even look at them.
Cars at high mileages are either binned or maintained and you've clearly gone the latter route.
I'm just not convinced there are that many people out there who will take the risk as many think "WEll if he's had all that done, what's next?".

Accordingly, I would probably avoid listing what you've done and put something like "Maintained regardless of cost" as that always used to sound better to me.

Gutted it went but moving on to bigger and better things smile
