Was on a ford training course a few weeks ago and was told it wil have more than one diff make of that what you want
Perhaps they are throwing a spare in the boot.I suppose you can say, never say never.
However the facts are that the last two have been front wheel drive.
The weight gain in having awd has often out weighed any performance benefit.
Everywhere you read they have said that while yes it is based on the Kugas floor, the awd system is to heavy for the focus and will not work with its low ride height.
When we don't see a 3 door focus on the market would we see the money invested in setting up a limited run of awd rs's?

Out of interest, why does it need to be awd for you to buy it?
The past ones are good cars and were considered not to need it.
Agreed I had the MK2 and it was a fantastic car, mine was running a stage 3 SCC tune with AP racing 6 pots on 888 tyres and it was fantastic, but it did struggle to put the power down a little bit.The past ones are good cars and were considered not to need it.
I am just saying if it was AWD I would get the impression it would be a real weapon and something to get very excited about, and as such I would probably whack a deposit down right away as I'll be due a new daily drive in 2015 so good timing

But I concede your point is valid, I just struggle to get excited about a FWD car now.

Thanks I forgot about that news article, interesting reading, AWD seems to be the desire from the PH massive. As for toning down the styling I bloody well hope not an RS should look outrageous in my opinion, but then I've had two Escort Cossies and still love them now LOL!
