Why is the Ford Section so rubbish?
Discussion
Back in my youth I had a Ford Cortina Mk3 2000e and a MK4 Estate auto. I also had an Escort van as well as quite a few Transits but then I went French then German.
Mighty tempted to return to Ford with the arrival of the new Mustang in 2015. V8 of course, non of this tree hugging EcoBoost nonsense

The main place to go for Ford chat is the forum on here: www.talkford.com
ST/RS owners tend to use the specialist single model forums.

I'd like to think I've learned my lesson by now.
That's some poor luck. Whether that's you or Ford as a manufacturer, who knows?

I've had one and probably won't have another (not in an especially negative way, just nothing I want/need any more), but that one has been pretty decent actually over an above average innings. Just two or three silly, irritating things, albeit balanced out by other things.
As for the original question, I guess that some congregate in other places, depending on what catches on in the beginning and/or how tribalistic owners are. However, personally, I've always struggled a little with one marque/model places.

I don't mean to cause any upset, but its rubbish on here! And I don't like it.
I am 45 and grew up on Fords but have moved on to 911's but forgive me.
I come on to the Ford section and there is NOTHING on here!
Sort yourselves out!
They are very uninteresting generally though (ST's/RS's/older stuff/cosworths excluded) and most ford drivers aren't into their cars.I am 45 and grew up on Fords but have moved on to 911's but forgive me.

The Ford community is better catered for on line in other areas away from PH.
I've had an RS of some form for the last seven years but I rarely venture in to this section of PH for anything.
My blue oval needs are better served on other marque specific forums!
I agree there needs to be an RS section (Im only kidding its well served on other Forums).I've had an RS of some form for the last seven years but I rarely venture in to this section of PH for anything.

There isn't really any decent Ford forums that I've tried, over the years they tend to get very clicky with a select few sticking together, often talking crap, less enthusiasts, more mates hanging out at a pub taking the piss out of each other, fine if you know each other but if your not well known and you try and contribute you get treated as an outsider.
Despite having an all-Ford family these days (we have 4) I've not really found much snobbery towards my mass produced brand of choice, if anything just respect for the cars i've chosen, the local PH meets and runs have been brilliant and I don't feel like I'm missing out from not contributing on other online communities.

When my brother and I bought a mid 70s Cortina Mk3 2000e back in the very early 80s we couldn't understand why the seats wouldn't go back and forward. They were very smart seats from a Triumph 2.5.
The reason: the seats were bolted to blocks of wood which in turn were nailed, yes, nailed to the floor pan
