Can you retro fit central locking to a mk2 ka?

Friend has recently bought a ford ka mk2. It doesn't have central locking, would this be difficult to fit? Are most of the parts already in place but not activated like some manufacturers do? I know BMW's have pretty much everything installed on their loom you just have to add the button.
