What a novelty to be driving in the dry..shades on!

Though I think washing my bright orange ST had the effect of attracting idiots like flies on..****! Visited some friends today and almost the entire journey i had a 'said idiot' nailed to my rear! rolleyes

I will put up with it though..if it means more dry roads & sunshine. biggrin

I think you're right, must be bright colours that excite them. Though I must admit to thinking 'I wish I was in the SEAC instead' I could have waved them bye bye properly.. wink

A week or so ago, I had someone go around the outside of me on a roundabout, in a Passat diesel. How he didn't bin it, I don't know.

Still, third gear dispatched him hehe

Is yours standard?

ST? Yes, well..other than the cheeky stainless cat-back Cobra exhaust I had fitted last week. ears

Not sure if going down the 'more performance' route I.e. chip, intercooler is worth it?
You have the MP260 conversion..good, or silly question? wink

I bought the car with the MP260 already on it, but I've driven a lot of STs over the years.

It makes it the car it should have been from the factory.

Comical levels of torque, but a real Jekyll & Hyde character - still happy to Poole around.

There are cheaper options, but I'm happy smile

Trying to justify the MR290 upgrade....

When I was looking to upgrade mine, I was looking at the MP260 conversion, but for the cost, since the car was out of warranty anyway, for me, £1200 quid for an extra 35 bhp seems alot.

I bought a Dreamscience handset from Ebay for £230, I'm looking at Airtec intercoolers for around £250, K&N panel filter is no more than £50, so for around £500 quid, you've got the same or more power, interchangeable maps, and an additional £700 to spend on a CAIS, exhaust mods etc.

No brainer for me.

You should head over to the focusstoc site and sign up. I picked up a RSport Intercooler, pumabuilds take on the airtec cooler, for £200 delivered from one of the sponsors.

Only thing I would say with the remap is to keep some money aside for an RS Clutch. My ST has only covered 30k miles and after a week or so on a bluefin remap the standard clutch was slipping in 5th and 6th
