My '57 Focus ST-2 will be due a service in a few months time, but I'm thinking now as to where to take it?

Is a performance specialist preferable, or a Ford dealership ok?

The car is standard, other than a Cobra exhaust & K&N air filter.

Thanks

They are not a complicated car so just take it to any garage you trust,

Correct, they are not complicated cars. I always serviced mine at home myself. If using a garage, just make sure they are using a good quality oil of the right grade. If in doubt, supply the oil to them.

Oh, and tell then you have a K&N, wouldn't want them to chuck it out and put a paper one in!

I agree, not complicated...it's just trusting the man behind the spanner. Last time I used a Ford dealership for servicing my car, it came back scratched and 'somehow' overfilled with oil!

Would an invoice and service stamp in the s/h book be looked upon as better if it was a specialist..such as Power Engineering?

Just thoughts.

Thanks. smile

Good point about the K & N!
