Missing wheel nut key
Discussion
Morning all,
I recently bought a Focus ST from Evans Halshaw Ford in St Albans (approx 3 weeks ago). Whilst checking the car over this weekend in readiness for the drive to Le Mans, I've realised that the car is missing a few things, namely the locking wheel nut key and the puncture repair gel / pump which should come with any cars which didn't have the spare wheel specified as an option.
Bearing in mind I bought this as an approved used Ford, from a dealer, shouldn't they remedy these things without charging me? I tried to call the dealers earlier today but they only wanted to put me through to the parts department to sell me the missing bits. I would expect a main dealer to at least supply the locking wheel nut key with the car.
Thanks

The locking wheel nut key is an essential part of the car, so yes the dealer should absolutely make sure one is provided with the sale of the car. They might try to insist that it was there and you have lost it, but seeing as you only purchased the car so recently you should stand your ground and they will be forced to give in.
A can of sealant only costs a few pounds, but the dealer should have made sure one was included. You could argue this point if you like, but personally i would just go into Halfords and buy one myself.
While you are there pick up a foot pump as well. Im amazed at how few people carry them in cars nowadays.....because they are so much easier than using garage air lines or the faff of setting up an electric inflator to top up tyre pressures.
