I'm currently looking for a new car and I think i've narrowed it down to an ST.

I've seen a 2010 plate ST-2, 37k miles with a FSH. It's listed as already having a mountune upgrade (i'm going to establish exactly what when I ring up) but it's listed for 12.5k. Is that overpriced? I've noticed they appear to be holding their values really well at the moment.

Plan on getting a HPI check done and test drive if the price is about right.

TBH it depends.

Orange seems to add a couple of grand. Also the pearl white is more expensive.

Some options seem to be quite expensive. Sunroof, Autolights, sat nav etc.

I bought my second Focus ST 3 months ago from a garage, not a main dealer. £12k

2010 '10' ST-3 3dr, performance blue, 40k miles, sat-nav, reversing camera, parking sensors, keyless, bluetooth, usb, privacy glass, auto lights, rain sensitive wipers, full service history, long mot.

They are holding values pretty well. I don't think that the mk3 ST has been so warmly welcomed as Ford hoped, which is great for us Mk2 owners.
Mountune will usually be the MP260 , which is a great upgrade. It wont affect insurance permiums ( well didn't for me) as it has an insurance number for the companies to cost, rather than an unknown conversion. It wont affect warranty with Ford either. The MR290 is a bigger beast, which on top of the MP260 intercooler and K&N filter, includes an exhaust, downpipe, sportscat, further remap and an inlet manifold swop. Ford wont warranty this conversion. Mountune don't make sky high figures, but solid refined power outputs.
