ST170 Throttle Cable
Discussion
I've got a short throttle cable on my ST170 and my throttle pedal vibrates a bit, this wasn't annoying but I just drove it to Wales and back....bloody hell it's annoying! Does anyone know where I can get hold the longer one and the clips other than fleabay? I was hoping to get a new one.
Also if anyone knows where I can get a new ST170 HID headlight, one of mine has got scratches and looks crap.
Cheers,
Greg

Headlights are breakers only, unless you want new, which a mates brother in law works for Ford and even with staff discount, if you have HID's, that is, is over £800 !! . We decided on fine wet and dry paper with washing up liquid, elbow grease, a mop buffer and fine polish and a couple of hours and they came up pretty well. Well enough to get an MOT anyway.

Mine aren't bad enough to cause any MOT problems so maybe just spending sometime cleaning them up is a better bet, certainly beats spending £800 on new ones. I knew it would be a pricey fix but I never thought it would be that much!Edited by SofaBear on Monday 6th April 22:22
Neither did my mate, but cleaning with wet and dry worked a treat and spray with a UV protectant spray lacquer to stop them yellowing again. As for the throttle cable, his has chaffed a bit near the back of the engine and I just taped and cable tied it away for carrying on being damaged, as it goes into a resistor potentiometer box soon after.
