My lad has recently bought an 08 Fiesta 1.4 and finds it sometimes pops out of reverse gear. It could just be him getting used to the gearbox as he’s only been driving for a month. But could it be something more serious?
It’s a “feature” of the old ib5 gearbox used in fiestas. Normally back to neutral re-press the clutch and it goes in ok. You learn to “feel” when it hasn’t properly engaged
