Mondeo MK5 Hybrid 2 litre on a 65 plate_batteries ???

Hi Guys,
I have acquired a Mondeo MK5 Hybrid 2 litre on a 65 plate(2015) with Automatic Transmission.
It also has keyless entry system and push button start.
Rather than start pulling the car apart to see how it works I thought I would come on here and ask a few questions. Starting with the battery for starting the car. It appears to be in the boot of the car on the near side. So why under the bonnet is there a positive and negative pole where you can connect jump leads to get the car going when the battery is flat?
Can someone confirm there are only 2 batteries in these cars
1 been the iron lithium battery for driving power
and 2 the battery for staring the car and supplying all electric for lights, windows, heating ,etc.
This been the battery in the boot?
I don’t mind getting a tutorial on this as I now virtually nothing about hybrid cars

It should come with an owners manual. If not, Ford manuals are published online.

In general I'd expect to find an ordinary 12V battery to run the engine and cabin systems. If it's a hybrid I'd expect to see a separate and bigger battery with a much higher voltage providing power for the electric drive motor.

Having +ve and -ve connection points under the bonnet is quite common on modern cars where the battery is hidden away.

Because the boot/hatch is opened electrically not by a manual push button which operates a solenoid, so if the battery was flat, how would you get to it to jump start the car?

it was well appreciated.
It all makes sense when it's explained to me.
one 12 volt battery for starting the car and running cabin power
and an Iron Lithium battery to drive the electric motor.
It hints on page 200 of the Ford manual that there is no battery under the Hud !
