Fiesta cambelt change interval?

Hello Peeps,

I'm contemplating buying a Fiesta 1.25 Zetec for the family, replacing a 19 year old Fiat Panda which has been incredibly reliable.

I have struggled to find the definitive answer to how often/what mileage the cambelt and water pump need to be replaced, and have come up with multiple different answers.

Does anyone know where I can find the answer to this please?

Just avoid the wet belt models - you're looking at around £2k for a belt change!

The price is sitting around £1100 now the independent garages are taking on the job.
