PCM update recall for DPF issues

I'm imagining there are a fair few owners on here had this? If you've had it done, what do you own, and what are your experiences of how it's affected the way it drives? There are a significant amount of negative posts on an FB forum I'm on, and the last thing I need is a currently faultless to drive work van coming back throwing EMLs and going into limp mode, or crap fuel consumption and poor performance. The results seem very mixed. Some are reported as feeling unchanged.
