S T tdci wiper problem

I have a st-tdci which i am thrilled with , but i cannot work out how the iwipe works ,it has a rotary switch numbered from 1 to 6 but it does not make any difference and in truth it seems to work all on its own ,anybody got any ideas ? simonntermitent

Has it got rain sensing-automatic wipers? It could be that you have the stalk in the wrong position, so that it is operating in automatic mode and overiding the intermittent setting.

yes i think it does ,i am 1 click up from bottom . simon

Ah! - This confused me on my Titanium-X...

Basically one click up turns on the auto-sensing wipers... but the turny-dial selects how frequently you want it to wipe when it *thinks* it is raining... so 1 = wipe lots and 6 = wipe not lots.

Yep the 1-6 represents the sensitivity of the rain sensor, 1 being sensitive (frequent wipes) for light rain etc.....

Hopefully im going to get another mondeo hopefully the 2.2tdci titanium x, Drove the GF's TDCi Zetec recently and it feels solid as hell compered to the Ringnut laggingooner diabolique the gearchange handling ride , just about everything is in a different league shame it looks as dull as ditchwater , back on topic ,the laguna has auto wipers that carry on when the glass is dry ??? stop it i tells you good ol french technology , everything auto is now switched off ,thinks its best i decide instead of the car
