Two probs guys:

Sister's boyfriend's Focus RS locks the rears before the fronts - it got new pads on the front just before he got it (about 6 months ago) but not sure what kind. It's got quite new (but run-in) Eagle F1s on the front and Dunlop Sportmaxx jobbies (changed by dealer when he got it) on the back. Any suggestions as to why the rears lock before the fronts? Bleed bias bar easy to fit?

My commuting Ka has a very 'rattly' engine. It's very tappety. It's done 45,000 miles. The oil's clean enough, but I can't remember what viscosity it is - reasonably thick semi-synthetic anyway. Valve clearances need adjusted? Is this easy (and cheap) to do? It runs fine, just noisy.

Many thanks in advance

I'd try swapping the wheels round first and seeing if it makes a difference.

The Bosch ABS unit has been known to bget a bit picky over wheel speeds, and tyre circumfrence is a key player.

I don't know if the Focus's brake force distribution is done electronically or mechanically. If it is mechanically then maybe the brake force distribution valve has gone faulty?
