Getting a sump nut off

Its a ford lincoln and I cant seem to find a socket that will fit the sump nut it seems to be around 25.4 mm or one inch but no shop that I have been to stocks them

anyone know of where I can get one?

Is that an old fashioned 1 inch..

Maybe the Yanks are not metric..(do they realise it exists..)

hate them personally but sometimes you have to use a adjustable spanner in these situations.
