Afraid not. It's some sort of mechanical traction control as far as I know. I don't think there would be much to gain from turning it off, it isn't at all intrusive from what I've found.

If it's the same age as a Puma then it is low speed brake based system, fully automatic, no user interaction.

Wife's had hers for 3 years, I'd no idea it was fitted with anything...certainly nothing we've ever triggered (which given I enjoy mild hooning in it suggests if there is something it's really not invasive).

Given the car has a regular throttle-cable it's likely to only be mechanical if there is anything.

The ZS has a very simple traction control, IIRC it switches off above 15mph?

Now you've written it that is familiar.

As suggested... BTCS - Brake Traction Control System. Not obtrusive, not switcheable (on/off)... it fires the brake on the slipping wheel. Only time I ever got it working was by putting one wheel on the grass and booting it... hehe

The BTCS is added functionality of the ABS system and is only active on the driven wheels to aid pulling away as mentioned. As soon as speeds rise above 15mph the system is turned off.

If you listen closely when pulling away slowly, the system will do a quick run of the pump motor at around 7mph

Fiesta mk5 wise, it was only the Zetec-S. Not sure which Pumas had it.

Definately 1.7s, I remember featurs like the low speed pump test first thing in the morning now.
