whinning noise

when my 2004 focus starts from cold.there is a whining noise when the wheel is turned.i take it this is the power steering.it only does it when it is cold.if it is the steering would this be a warranty item.or just tough luck.thanks in advance for any help

I had a pump replaced under warranty on my old car-can only try!

If the car is under warranty and it is a mechanical/electrical fault then it should be covered.

hi whta sort of price would i be looking at for non warrenty work.also how do they look at good will reductions.the car is a late old shape-a 2005
