Have you tried Pumaspeed or Pumabuild, they both specialise in stuff of all Fords, not just Pumas, might be worth a look.

Hi Neil,

I assume the run on Sunday killed off your brakes then?? biggrin

Best to stick to either the DS2500's or get Mintex 1144 pads. What discs do you have? AP now do a two piece front disc that fits the standard Brembo caliper and is supposed to be very good. Or you could get the 6-Pot AP kit for around £1500.... wink

Hope to catch up with you on the next Kent Run.

Personally i would go for the Ferodo DS2500's (use these on my fronts with my 6 pot conversion) - they are a bit dusty but are so much better compared to the EBC pads - The Mintex pads are also another very good priced option (i use the mintex on my rear brake setup & have always been happy with them) smile

I think the 2 piece discs were being planned by a guy on the RSOC forum and made by AP if they got enough interest

Big thumbs up for the DS2500's from me.
Also, if changing the rear pads, get the ST170 ones as they will be cheaper but are the same.

I went for these http://www.grahamgoode.com/focus/products.php?part... and I'm pretty happy with them (100% road use).

They do squeak a little when cold but otherwise I'd recommend them.

Got me new brakes in at last went for the ds2500 ferodos again although did have some trouble getting hold of them. Put genuine ford ones in the back and replaced the fluid with fully syn castrol so with any luck ill be able to stop a bit better on the next run smile

got them through a local parts factor called ajay autoparts girls there are great and really helpful

Just looked at ur profile it might be a bit far for you to come but try Hi-spec brakes they have a website and are in dartford but do mail delivery thats where i got last set from.

Out of intrest what tyres have you got? Ive had a few sets on mine now but have now got michelin ps2's which im really happy with. It's unreal how much more grip i have compared to the goodyear F1's that came off although the F1's really went downhill when production switched to china (thanks to jeff aka mutton who noticed this before i did)

Hi-specs website is not great, they stock the ds2500's but i dont know what price they are from them i paid just ove £100 for mine. I really cannot fault the ps2's but then the Focus did come with ps1's from new so i guess Ford know more about our cars than we do smile
