I'm very tempted to trade in my aging X reg 1.6 Zetec Focus for a newer model. Seen what seems like a good deal on a 2005 2 litre model, went to see the car the other day and took it for test drive, very nice to drive and a generally great experience all round.
Just wondering what the 2 litre version is like in terms of running costs compared to the smaller engined versions. Looking at the figures on sites like Parkers, it doesn't look too bad, only 1mpg less than my current car. Anyone got any real world experience though of a 2.0 MkII vs. a 1.6 MkII?
For what it's worth, I drive a very aging 2 litre zetec mondeo as a work car, 170,000 miles on the clock, that doesn't seem too bad, and I'm sure the newer focus is more efficient...
