Im thinking of getting a 1999 2L focus and what i want to know is does the focus come with a transmission tunnel going to the real axle. and if it doesnt how hard is it to make it 4wd?
also what axle can i fit to the rear to allow drive? i.e from a donor car like a sierra an then moddify it to fit?

Hi
No it doesn't is the simple answer....
To do the job properly you have to modify the bulkhead, trans tunnel and front and rear uprights.
The easiest way is to buy a cossie and rob the bits, including the struts and tunnel.
Speak to either Steve @ A1 Rally Sport
or
Andrew @ AG Motorsport.
If i remember rightly A1's charge about £3500-4000 to do all the metal work????

Hi
Alot of money?????? I thought that was quite cheap.....
I was looking at a minimum of £15K to do a RWD Cosworth Focus......
Unless you do all the fabrication work yourself.
I have seen a cossie lump mounted transverly and has a bell housing plate made to take EVO running gear. But you still have the issue of the tunnel and suspension.

4wd RS2000 good ides however the transfer boxes are deleted and most places to refurb one is around £4k as they are a total nightmare to do they are also rare as the rocking horse do do as only a few hundred were ever made and tbh the tranfer box is not renowned for its reliability and there are a number of so called 4wd RS2000's running 2wd now due to the cost of the repairs being so excessive even FMC have deleted them from their spares list now
