ford ka and rust

is any one suffering with this problem ? mines 03 but it set off rusting just 2 year in ownership , now its a mess !!!!

Mylittle sisters ford Ka has rusted severely on the 'A' pillar, its a R reg car but her X reg she had a couple of years ago was the same but on the other side.

think theres a 6 year warrenty so will have to see if theres any joy

The sills are badly protected on Ka's. I'd fit the Ford front mud flaps to any Ka which will help, + maybe some decent wax type underseal like Dinitrol along the lowest part of the sill.

Mine's rusting on the driver's side sill and has some patches on the boot lid lip. It's an 02 with 60K, but was already rusting when I bought it at 40K.

I had one up until January this year (2000 X Reg) and it rusted mainly on the door sills (watch those corners!!) and around that sodding fuel filler cap. Wasn't expensive to have sorted, Mike Don in Montrose took £100 to treat it and redo the paintwork.

mines the sport ka and the spoiler rubbing against the boots made a right rusty mess
