Due to the price of petrol and the miles that i travel a year i am thinking of converting my ford foucs 1.4 Lx 2005 plate. I have heard mixed answers with a problem with then engine. I have bean told that the engine suffers from weak values. Other places that i have bean to said that there is not a problem with the values. I know that you can buy a value saving kits. How much would it be to top up the bottle and would it be worth putting one of these on even if there is no problem with the engine??

Sorry for the spelling!!! am not good at spelling!!!!

Chers for your help!!

I think if you have any doubt about the strength of the engine you would be better off buying a TDCi engined focus than spending £1000+ On converting a 1.4 to gas, biggest gains on a LPG conversion are on big engines that you end up with ordinary car MPG out of.

The only reason for think of convertion my car to LPG was that i do 17000 miles a year. with running on petrol it costs me about £2500 on lpg this would save me about £1250 and i am keping my car for anouther 2 years.

I Think it would more likely save you about £900 a year, LPG gives a slightly lower MPG than petrol.
