GT40.... /05 Over heating common fault ??

Anyone know about the mod for the water pipe under the car as it keeps on melting bad design common prob?
Has any one come across this?
Looks like it has been repaired before.

Tim,

If you're talking about the plastic junction piece near the front of the engine which has two large outlets and two small ones we have seen a couple that have deformed. It's critical not to over tighten the clamps as the spigots are not very substantial. Once it starts to leak tightening the clamps actually makes it worse. One of our customers has remade the piece in alloy to prevent recurring issues, though we have fitted new one's and not had repeat problems on other cars.
