Handbrake adjustment Galaxy.......

So after having driven the wife's Galaxy to try to troubleshoot dodgy speedo (other thread) I notice that the handbrake pulls up a long way before doing anything.
Presumably to adjust it I need to tighten the cable? I have adjusted handbrakes on other cars so am planning to look at it myself, so any tips, is it easy to get at or a pig of a job etc?
