My Mum's 1998 Scorpio 2.9 Cosworth needs the following parts:

Scorpio Cosworth 2.9V6(24V)-Tensioner Timing Chain LH
Part Number: 7334668 (QTY1)
Scorpio Cosworth 2.9V6(24V)-Tensioner Timing Chain RH
Part Number: 1049826(QTY1)

We've been trying for MONTHS to get hold of these with little success. I have them on back order with a Ford parts supply company but they have very little information on when they will be available. All the other parts are avaialble to complete the job.

Does anyone know of any stock anywhere?

You could try talking to PH'er Boosted LS1. He rebuilds cosworth engines on occasion.

^ Thanks PP. OP, I've sent off a request so should know later today or tomorrow. I got your email. Is it just tensioners you need?

There's a guy that has sells parts for these engines on eBay - I'd ask him first.

He certainly has had the tensioner for the earlier engine (code BOA) that has just one very long chain. If he doesn't have the later ones (engine code BOB) he might know where they can be found.

Alternatively I believe Mr. Boosted has a lot of experience with them, though with a modification and performance bias.

However, if you can't fix it economically, can I have your cams? thumbup
