Hi
can anyone tell me y the cruise control on my galaxy 2.8v6 r plate not working. I have checked the obvious the fuses, and the brake bulbs r all working ok. Could it still be the brake light switch although my lights r ok.
The other thing is that is there a light on dash to say its working as i can not see one. Please please help me solve this problem.
Regards
Graham

Manual or Auto?

The brake light switch may be in two parts, one for brake lamps and one to kil the cruise control.
Check continuety across the switch terminal in the pedal up (cont between both cruise terminals)
and pedal down, (cont between brake light terminals, no cont between cruis terminals)

If the car is Manual it will also have a switch on the clutch pedal to kill the cruise when you hit the clutch.

Are thee any other faults with the car?
Have you replaced any bulbs recently???

My next guess would be the cable reel between the car wiring and the steering wheel switches.
Checking this would require removal of the steering wheel and air bag so might be best left to a dealer.

galaxy cruise control works on a vacume pump behind the n/s/f headlight and most of the time the pipe from the pump splits have a look at all the pipe work
