If the fuel sender isn't connected it would mean the fuel pump wasn't working? Possibly an old code, possibly a loose/intermittent connection?

The DTC's have their own deletion process - so after a period (sometimes defined in driving time, sometimes defined in number of ignition cycles etc) they will delete themselves. Some diagnostic tools will show you if the DTC is current (the fault is present now) or just in the history like above and not yet deleted. Sounds like yours has gone away because the fault isn't there anymore, so I would just keep an eye on it for a while and keep checking to make sure it doesn't keep re-appearing. If it does then start checking there's no loose electrical connections etc.
