tuning mods for mk2 mondeo

Hi. Ive got a mk2 mondeo 1.8zetec. I really need to get more power out of the damn thing, but at reasonable costs. Any ideas on which are the best options???

Something with a bigger engine is the best bet.

I suspect selling it and upgrading to a V6 model would be faster, cheaper to do, run and insure, and better to drive. Sorry, that's not massively helpful. The best place to look for Mondeo mods is http://www.fordmondeo.org/
