Escort MK6 speaker wiring
Discussion
I thought I'd left electrical problems behind when I flogged the 106 but lo and behold here we go again...
The rear speakers in the Escort aren't working at all, I seriously doubt they've blown (as it was owned by the OH's grandad previously!) and you can't change the balance from the front to back (at least not that I've found on the original spec stereo Traffic 3000.)
Also the NSF speaker only works intermittently.
So I took out the stereo and the wires are attached correctly in the back, they are also attached to the speakers nicely, my question is... is there a fuse somewhere for the rear speakers? Or is there likely to be a joint/connection in the wiring which could have come adrift somewhere?
I don't currently have a Haynes manual or I'd look in there.
Any advice would be appreciated, it's beginning to annoy me, and I've not even started on the rust yet!
