Ford Puma Clutch
Discussion
Hi,
first post on here but have a problem with my wifes Ford Puma.
The clutch is completely gone and needs replacing but can anyone tell me if the slave cylinder has to be replaced, one garage quoted me with it and the other without! One saying it should be done the other that it didn't.

Not 100% sure, but nip over to www.pumapeople.com, good friendly bunch
its just a matter of getting on the right forum, good luck.
Don't do the clutch without changing the concentric slave - it just isn't worth the hassle. If the slave is disturbed (which it will be when the original clutch is taken out) it is more likely to leak. That'll be right onto your brand new clutch plate.
I changed the clutch on my Puma at 72K as it was slipping - it is common.
