Hi, I used to drive a 1.6 focus and it was dreadfully slow, the gear lengths are the main problem ( and size obviously ) but I got a Zetec S fiesta and this is far more exciting.

However, there is a rather large tuning scene for the Sigmi engine and if its the black top one ( zetec SE ), then they are certainly very capable engines.

On ZSOC the best rated tuning company are Shawspeed, they offer different power packages from 120 bhp to 170 with various cam profiles etc to suit....

I'm afraid the answer you don't want to hear is: Sell it and get a 1.8 / 2.0 / 2.5 one. By the time you have properly sorted it and added the insurance premium for a modified car, it will have cost you considerably more than simply trading up.
