Accidentally gave it a few too many revs pulling away a couple of days ago... And now it makes a weird sort of grinding/rattling noise that's most noticable when changing from about 3.5k from 2nd to 3rd, it also makes the noise going from 3rd to 2nd but can't solidly reproduce it, it seems to be intermittant... Any ideas what it could be? :S I wouldn't of thought giving it a few too many revs once would kill it? The clutch smelt afterwards but the car drives absolutely fine, apart from the noise...

Gearbox is an IB5...

Clutch release bearing is a possible, might be manifold though if it's rattled something loose and only appears at certain levels of vibration

Video below, appears to happen at 2800 revs, in any gear and neutral, appears to be a buzzing from the front right hand wing smile

I would've thought a fiver would've sounded a bit more, papery?

(Thanks smile)
