New Mondeo TDCI tyre wear ( 18" rims )

Does anyone know if there is a front tyre wear issue on the latest model mondeo tdci. i have only done 12000mls in this car and the front Conti's are worn down to the wear blocks. i am doing mainly motorway miles and think this is excessive. my last mondeo tdci ( 2006 model ) did 25000mls on a set of fronts. the wear is even accross the tread .

If the wear is even across the width of the tyre, I would be inclined to suggest that there is nothing wrong with the alignment. Perhaps a change of tyre brand and PSI won't go a miss.

Those Conti Sports are very soft, great for handling but will wear very quickley. I would say 12k on a set of soft tyres is about right. I have to admit i get about 20K to set on my Diesel focus with very hard driving.

My ST runs the same tyres I can get about 25k a ste, however other cars running the same tyres and our fleet mondeos are having them changed every service, 12.5k !!!! dunlops apparently return a greater mileage according tio Kwik fit ?
