My focus slave cylinder blew up and all the fluid came out the bottom of the gearbox.
So replaced the slave cylinder put it all back togeather.
But when i went to drive away it blew again does any one now why this woud be as dont want to take the box back out again for this just to happed again thanks.

Is it the concentric slave cylinder? The one where you have to remove the box and it includes the release bearing?
If so, I'm assuming you replaced the clutch too?

hi yes it is the 1 in side the gearbox and i didnt change the clucth as i replaced both at the end of last year but the clucth was a cheap 1.

Just wondered how worn it was, as a really worn one will have it's fingers poking right out, but if it was only done last year it suggests it's not the clutch.
Was it a Ford one, or aftermarket? I know there are some cheap copies about. The Ford genuine one is actually an LUK one, so if you had either of those I'm not sure. Suppose it's possible one doesn't like working with the other if they're different makes? they're designed to be replaced at the same time.
