Where is my RS????????

Can anybody advise me please.........I ordered my RS back in Feb 08, paying my deposit and being told I was one of the first to order.
Throughout the year I had call to say the colours were released and now not just green, then later the spec options were released, another call...still no price released by then then the big call to say it would be ready March 1st.
Another call to say march 1st had moved to April ist then May 1st...by this stage I was becoming a bit chewed. I have been working in Denmark for 10 months and had planned my return flights and holidays around the RS coming.
My St has been advertised 3 times and had to upset 2 buyers after the delay and my costs are running close to 1000 pounds already with flights, extra servicing and an MOT. This money was to go towards the RS.
Ford are really getting my back up now as the new date is ......August September....... DO THEY EVEN CARE. I thought they needed to sell cars, thought they were struggling.
There are cars being delivered as I can see from the forum so what can I do or what advice can anybody give me to get my car?
Should I cancel and get another st......maybe so.

My dad registered his interest at the dealers in Dec 2007, and when he came to fill out his order form and finalise the specification he was 2nd in Aberdeen to do so.
The delivery date was the beginning of March, but as per usual the dates got pushed back. It was only built on March 17th.
It left Saarlouis on April 8th, and its been sitting in Dagenham since April 23rd, but Ford weren't releasing it or the dealership hadn't done anything to get it up here.
The good news is, after a lot of phone calls to Ford Customer Relations and a few meetings with the sales manager, we finally got an update which read,
From what i can gather the first batch of cars had a problem or two, and thats why they have been delayed.
So it seems like just because you were quick in getting the order in, doesn't mean you'll get the car first.
First come last served

leave on the covered wagons to mossend, these are all kept in one area

Mine was a simular story guys, i order june 08 and once again car should of been here march then april then may!!! Frustrating or what! I picked my car up on tuesday and it is well worth the wait, although i had order feb 08 and they are still telling you aug i would not be happy not happy at all!!

Thanks Phil, yes I have that info now from customer services. I am being a pain in the **** and will continue to be until it arrives.
It's just typical I think because we'e "up north" Jennings is the largest dealership in the North East and cant get an RS.

I know exactly what your going through! As do most on here. I only ordered the first week in Feb and have no news at all however I do get regular updates 'There is no news'.
I have my order with Jennings (Stockton)and agree considering the size of the dealership they don't seem to be getting many deliveries. Where have you ordered from?

I think it all depends on how enthusiastic your dealer is on how quick you get your car! I placed my order May 1st, he told me will get early July! Now i know that may seem optomistic, but he e-mails me every few days to let me know if theres any news, top service! I am expecting delays so if i do get it in July, it'll be a bonus! I asked him about the delivery delays & he said that unless the dealer keeps on at the factory they will take their time & assume order is not urgent! My dealer has taken 5 orders & all been promised 6-8 weeks. So keep on at your dealer to keep on top of things!
Hi Guys, sorry to say but customer services rang me today and confirmed that nothing can be done to bring the delivery forward. The factory only produces 40 at a time and the slots are planned in around other car production. They still say August - Sept delivery.
It's a real bummer, 9 of my last 12 new cars have been fords and if this is the way they treat valued enthusiastic customers, forking out 27k for thier flagship models then what it shows what the comany is becoming.
I am keeping the order for now but am so miffed, it has taken the edge off. Suppose I could gat another ST and get it chipped and spiced up, pocket the saving.
Maybe I will have a look around the nearly new market Audi S series VW golf or something similar.
I am gutted and dissapointed, I will contact Top gear, 5th Gear and anybody else I can email with this to get the truth out in the open and show Ford for the comany it is. Any contacts would be greatly appreciated.

You have to remember that most of the blame is probably to be put on the dealership and not Ford.Ford are producing the cars, and they are getting them out.

There hoping to Bring one to RSOC west yorkshire on 19th july but its not comfirmed.

Ordered mine March 3rd with a delivery date of September. Have checked with the dealer and the date is still correct. I am not worried when it is delivered as long as it is this year. One reason is that be aware that VAT goes back to 17.5 % on Jan 1st 2010 so car and all extras will go up as well. The price promise from Ford does exclude any Goverment tax changes. So make sure your dealer keeps on top as if it goes to next year you will pay alot more.

Just had a call confirming delivery week beg 5th to 12th Sept. It wll be here then. I nearly cancelled but have still not seen one around my area so think it will be worth having. I saw one at goodwood and again on the M1 coming back from there in green.
The green one does actually look good in the flesh but the blue still does it for me. Has anybody been hit with the price increse or are the early orders exempt.
