Best bargain ever bought?

Whats the best bargain motor you ever bought? Mine was a mk1 cortina,1964, 1500 super, 2 door, mint, 58k from new. The owner bought it new, was about 90 years old, this was back in 1990. Got it for £125, sold it 4 weeks later for £1295!! Anybody else bagged a bargain like that?

Afraid not, didn't keep it long enough! Was a boy racer in them days & i would have killed it! Didn't want that to happen to it, a car collector came to look at it & bought it on the spot! Was a beautiful car though, be worth 10X that now!!

I brought a half resto mk1 xr2, 65k, 4 owners, the other day for £175. I thought it was a bargain.

Doesn't really qualify as buying but one of my stepdads's gardening clients had an S reg Daewoo Lanos that they were giving away as the clutch had gone and they could'nt be bothered to fix it.

I called a flatbed man to come and transport the car to my house, on route to my house I sold it to him for £300 and never saw it or him again!

Bought a 3month old escort Cosworth on a K for 15k sold 2 years later for 17.5K and had a lot of fun in between.
