Mondeo 2l zetec s 2000 x injector problems

Hi I have a Mondeo 2l zetec s year 2000 on an x plate that is probably one of the lowest milllage cars of its model and age with only 24000 miles on it!

Every thing is stardard on it and not played around with at all.

The problem is its 9 years old and it does not feel as responsive as the day i bought it!

After watching a programme on tv could the injectors nead cleaning or replacing?

I have replaced the plugs and the leads seem intact.

I only use it say once a month.

I have a focus st so maybe it just feels slow comapred to it I dont know!

any suggestions are welcome.
