fiesta diesel 35 van cable or hydro clutch

its a 98 van fiesta 35 been told needs slave cylinder but local mech thinks its a cable on these buying as a repair so not seen as yet any views thanks

If its the 1.8 Diesel, which 90% are, the Fiesta used a hydraulic clutch with a concentric slave cylinder from 1995 onwards.
