Ford Mondeo (1999) Oil - Fully or Semi Synthetic

Hi All,

My Dad runs a 2.0 Ford Mondeo (1999), he has recently had an oil change with Mobil 1 FE 5w30 Semi Synthetic.

However he went to pick up some top up today from Unipart, but was told that Ford changed the spec a while ago to Fully Synthetic.

Does anyone know who is right?

5W/30 semi is fine for it.

Thanks for the information, double checked with Ford and apparently only the newer models use the fully synthetic.
