I noticed we didn't have one of these topics yet, so...post pictures of your Ford(s) and any stories you have.

My first Ford, and my first car in fact.

Which was replaced by this...

It'll be with me for a few more years to come I reckon.

Cheers

Started with a 1.1 M reg Fiesta, then a 52 plate 1.4i Fiesta and have now moved onto a 57 plate Focus ST500.

I'll have to get my camera out tomorrow!

RS500 is my first Ford. Currently also have a Focus Mk.2 2.0 as a daily snotter and a new Focus RS on order for delivery September/October. I love the fact that they are so unpretentious.

My fourth ford and definitely the fastest...

First ever car was an '87 escort 1.3 popular 3 door. smokin

First ever company car was a Mk2 mondeo TD. 88bhp at full boost. laugh

Next company car was a Mk3 Mondeo 1.8 Zetec. Ohh, brilliant engines those zetecs! wink

Now it's like going back in time...... Rebuilding a spare 1600 CVH this winter....

My first car was a 1.0 Mk3 Fiesta, compelete with 4 gears. It took 6months of abuse before being sent to the scrap heap in the sky.

After a fiat and a really bad experiance with a 306 I went back to ford and had a 1.6 zetec focus. Brilliant car and I put 30k on it in just over a year with nothing more than a pair of tyres and servicing, loved the handling just wanted a bit more power.

So I bought myself the ST170 about a year ago now, its a very capable car and great fun down the local A and B roads and happy to cruise all day at 80mph on the motorway. Could do with a bit more power but I have the bike for outright speed. Hasnt been as reliable as the 1.6 and has had to go back to the garage with a few niggles although nothing serious. Just the MPG or lack of it is the only problem.

Had some good ones and some bad ones...

Bad ones..? Mk6 1.4 Escort... Mk6 1.8 Si Escort (x2)

Good ones? Fiesta Zetec-S, Puma Thunder, Mondeo ST200 and the current daily driver, the ST220.

Really fancy a Focus RS though...

My old ST170(on the right)the blue one was my dad's.Sort of matching number plates were a bit sad really!

This was just bought as a runaround when the Focus was sold.Didn't need it in the end but was still a bit of fun.

I have more pics somewhere, will add them later

bow @ MADrod.

I had a mini as my first car for 3 months and then have only owned fords.

Ran about in my dads 1.4 escort for a few weeks after passing my test, had a mini (Still want another), 1.1 Fiesta Ghia MK2, 1.8 Sierra a great car and felt like a racing car compared to what my mates had at the time, bought a 1.4 MK3 fiesta next and fitted twin 40s it did 20mpg when thrashed but was quicker than a friend punto GT to 80 yikes . Then I got sensible and bought a 1.6 escort that I really liked, Dad bought a focus estate and I loved the way it handled so I blew most of my savings and bought a 1.8 zetec that was almost new, got bored bought a ST170 when I was only doing weekend driving and loved every second of owning it, got sensible again and bought a Fiesta zetec s tdci to do lots of miles in. People on PH mock the fiesta but it is in a lot of ways better than the 170 was just sounds crap.

Fords for the future are a good Early xr or RS Escort or fiesta, and I fancy fitting an ST170 engine and box to a KA or boxedin A Street KA.

Hi all, I've owned mainly Fords, although my first car was a Renault 19 Turbo. I wasnt a great fan of fords at that time (1989) as you got more for your money with other makes, but I do think fords have come on in the past 10-15 years or so. Had a cortina, 2 x Sierras, then Escort, Mondeo 1.8 Zeetec, ST24, then onto the ST220, easily the best car ive ever had. Currently looking for a Focus.

TBH, me and the missus have had a good look around this weekend for cars, and for the money, I don't think you can beat Ford, BMW's are too dear and pretty plain inside imo, ditto Audi. French cars can kiss their derry air (however its spelt). Jags feel like an old mans car inside.

We really like the newer Mondeo too, looks fantastic inside.

Heres the ST220

Your car looks almost identical to mine when it left the factory, have since added the chrome bits to mine...also the registrations are very similar. Do you know which dealer yours was registered at?
