KA3 written off-nd bigger - suggestions?

Hi guys

My KA3 got rear ended and need a suggestion for its replacement but bigger vehicle? I have a budget of £6k and with a baby on the way want low running costs (Tax, Tyres, Servicing, Repairs) but with a bit more space for "stuff".

Any thoughts from any happy trade ins?

Currently thinking Ford Focus 1.6 Petrol, a Mazda3 (expensive parts?), Skoda Fabia 1.4 100bph ? Some thing reliable with the same nippiness as the KA (dont need a hugely powerful beast - just more of the same but bigger)?

If you liked the Ka, nothing wrong with a Focus. It's its grown up brother!

After my Ka I decided at a Focus but ended up getting a Mondeo. Bit of a jump in size!

I chose the Mondeo over the Focus cos it didn't cost much more. I love it and would highly recommend it to anyone. Fast, smooth, handles brilliantly. All Fords tend to be massively underated by anyone who has never owned one. The best chassis of any mainstream cars.

If the Mondeo is too big then go for the Focus or Mazda 3 (basically a Focus in a different dress).
