Not sure about MK2 but my old MK1 you put the ignition key into 2nd position, then lock and unlock the doors 3 times (locking part was next to the door handle) and it should make a beep sound and then turn the ignition off and that's it.

I did this on the 220:-

Autolock the doors when pulling away, activates at about 7mph.

1. Turn on the ignition so all the dash lights come on but don't start the engine.

2. Lock the door using the button on the door handle and then unlock the door (but don't open it) 3 times.

Then turn off the ignition.

3. Lock the door using the button on the door handle and then unlock the door (but don't open it) 3 times.

4. Turn on the ignition but dont start the engine
A beep should be heard

5. Lock the door again as before then unlock it (only once this time)

A final beep should be heard.

Sorry my previous guide wasn't quite right. The way here is how to do it on the old shape Focus, but again not sure if it works on the new shape.

I know on the new Mondeos, and Transits ect, this sort of thing can be set by accessing "vehicle parameters" by using Ford I.D.S diagnostic computer. Not sure about the Focus though.
