1500GT Cortina, which 5 speed gearbox?

I want to have another gear but i'd like as little admin as possible. Is there any 5 speed gearbox
which will fit straight on? Someone recommended a Ford Sierra box?

Yes, use the 2.0 sierra box with clutch. You will have to move the gearleaver hole back & get a new single piece prop made up, an RS2000 prop may do the job.

Thanks, apparently the later Sapphire uses the same gearbox as a Sierra but a 5 bearing design rather than a 3?
The engine isn't in a Cortina so will have to do some measuring...
