Escort Mk1 V8 (Help please)

Anybody in the Essex area got a V8 mk1 escort that can be viewed just to get a few idea's. I want to do a Rover v8 conversion but not sure where to start, got the car and will have an engine and manual box soon.
Will fit a roll cage
Does chassis need to be strengthened
How much of the gear box tunnel needs to be cut away
Does the engine bay bulk heads need to be widened
Can the front cross member be modified to carrt the the engine
etc etc
