I am in a lucky position at the moment and am considering buying a new RS Focus.

Can anyone enlighten me with the benifit of their experiences to date and what the the cars are lie to drive....the road tests are very postive...most important, are the cars fun to drive??

Many thanks

Mark

i loved my focus st-3 and apparently the RS is quite a bit better and the noise must be glorious as the ST sounded very nice and it must be very fast as even my ST felt pretty damned quick.

I love my RS, had it 2 months now & still puts a smile on my face everytime i drive it! It is a very very quick car & averaging 28mpg, no problems with it. It is at least 10 times better than i thought it would be! smile

Gareth350,

does your petrol flap lock with the central locking or can you still open it even when the car is locked? I can still open it but don't know if this is a fault or not.

Nope, the petrol flap is non lockable, not connected 2 the central locking. So no fault!

One for you Garath350 (probably)!!!!

Sorry this is posted in the wrong section but can any one tell me if there should be trim on the base of the front seats? as I can see the allen key ajustments for height and it seems a little strange to have metal (black) on show.

its on the bottom of the seats and would be facing the doors when they are closed, I have the leather option.

Thanks Simon and rachel.

Dont get me wrong I do not want to sound like I am moaning about my rs because im not its great and I have not run it in yet so dont even know how fast it is. Had the green and Its an amazing colour.

Looked at the wheel arch lining at the rear and it looks like its been made from bits of left over fabric with glue and staples holding it together with some holes in it as if they have drilled them in the wrong place??? the fronts are proper plastic that are fine.

Has any one else got this problem or just me and if so Ill get some proper one's.

But again the cars great and little things like this are to be expected and who cares I have 3 years to sort them out under warrenty
